CONNECTIONS

WITH OTHER TEACHING
WITH TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMS

At BMCC

Title III is just one of several initiatives at the college to promote teaching with technology in the classroom.  Other programs range from Distance Learning to the Multimedia Program to the departmental initiatives to workshops sponsored by the Teaching and Learning Center.

AT CUNY

A clearinghouse of CUNY and other digital resources

A report of a CUNY-wide task force organized under the auspices of the university Office  of Academic Affairs

The BMCC and LaGuardia teaching with technology programs both benefited  from exchanges and interaction between the faculty of our colleges.

ACROSS THE NATION

Title III – a National Perspective:

Title III is a federal program housed in the Office of Postsecondary Education, United States Department of Education.  The program provides grants to eligible institutions of higher education to improve their academic programs, institutional management, and fiscal stability in order to increase their self-sufficiency and strengthen their capacity to make a substantial contribution to the higher education resources of the nation.

Several Title III faculty at BMCC are working with the Visible Knowledge Project (VKP), a national program engaging faculty from across the nation.  BMCC is one of 25 colleges across the country  participating in this "five-year research initiative asking rigorous questions about the impact of new technologies and teaching methods on both student learning and faculty teaching practice."  For more information, click here.
