Introduction to Word: Menus, buttons, and other parts of the Word window, adding and manipulating text, moving through a document, opening, saving and printing files.

Using Word Effectively: Setting up page margins and layouts, spelling and thesaurus, text navigation and selection, all about paragraph formatting, bullets and numbering.

Word Tools: Tables, envelopes and labels, footers and headers, hyperlinks, borders and shading.

Word Research and Publishing Tools: Tracking changes, inserting comments, table of contents, bookmarks and hyperlinks.

Word Advanced Document Formatting: Working with graphics, creating and applying styles, using columns, creating and editing forms.

Blackboard Basics: A brief tour of Blackboard, announcement and course content, uploading files, introduction to html.

Blackboard Content and Organization: Organizing course information, different file types (Excel, PowerPoint, html, etc.), using and building an interactive syllabus.  This is a hands-on workshop; bring the files or documents you want to incorporate in your Blackboard course.

Blackboard Communication Tools: Setting up discussion boards, encouraging "successful" discussions, chats, virtual classroom, email.
