BMCC Technology Workshop Information

 

Blackboard 8

 

If you are a new Blackboard user, you may want to attend a Blackboard Basics workshop before moving on to the more advanced material.

If you are a current  Blackboard user, you may choose from the following workshops that discuss new/enhanced features:  

Grade Center: new interface, smart views, grade calculations and much more

Discussion Board: new menus, collecting posts, subscribing, rating and grading

Content Management: making materials automatically available based on criteria such as grades, completion of assignments, or group membership  

Self and Peer Assessment: setting up assignments that are assessed by students themselves

Assignments: allowing students to submit files electronically through assignments and safe assignments (checked for plagiarism) features

Bookmarking: using Scholar to organize and share bookmarked websites
